hmm...why don't we stick with the original name : Aiyo? and maybe just add one more 'I' or one more 'O' to it? i don't think it's a good idea to have everyone go through the polls again. it really does take a long time plus with so many names.

I agree with you that the name shouldn't have the word 'asia' in it, as soon as a name is like ***asia or asia***, it will probably appear a bit cliché ^^ .

I think we should proceed like this: we'll leave this discussion open until this Thursday. This means that we can suggest domainnames for another three days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday there'll be a poll, and on Monday I'll cut the knot and decide. And then it's already the week during which I'm going to construct things with Rob ^^ .

Next: as for the logo and lay-out, I have already asked someone to do this for us (although he's still working with 'AIYO!'). He's amazing at drawing and Rob's able to turn it into a digital logo - I trust him 100% in this, he's a great artist. But, as he won't be in the Netherlands next week, it'll mean we will have to wait another two weeks before the logo's finished. Thus next week, during my appointment with Rob, we're going to focus on registering a domainname and the technical aspects, exploring our possibilities, but please do not expect the site to be completely finished by then. Even, as soon as the blog is up, we might discover some flaws or come up with new ideas, we'll be refining the blog non-stop ^^ .

Anyhow, be sure I'll keep you updated .

that means that SOMEONE though I know it wasn't me checked that site on an untrustworthy site, the guy behind aiyodesign domehow got to know there was interest for it and registered aiyo.net and linked it through

when i google-d aiyo.net, a website came up but when i clicked into it, the web address changes to www.aiyodesign.com.

the japanese version is as far as I know kawaii, but then again ther might be some shout with an a. it would be triple A. Which is kind of a good rating. Our crown prince Willem Alexander once made a huge faux pas. He already had two children whose first name starts with an a, then named the third girl Ariane. The crown prince joked that they went for a triple A rating. Which in his case wouldn't be a very smart remark, since he's married to maxima zorreguieta, and her father was a part of the Argentinian military gunta of jorge videla. And guess how the death squad there was named? The triple A's .

aiyo!aiya? may sound good but you cant use exclamation or question marks in urls. But just the combi, AiyoAiya or AiyaAiyo sounds pretty good. Or aiyoaiyo

Okay, so there are three ways we can go:

1. Another name (e.g. Aigoo instead of Aiyo)
2. Another domain (e.g. aiyo.net)
3. Adding something to Aiyo (e.g. Aiyoblog.com/ say-aiyo.com)

Personally, I think I prefer #3 - but I had another idea: can't we just spell aiyo as aiyou ^^ ?

Also, I know there is some korean shout with a similar 'feel' to it, at least to me. The meaning is quite different though

What we have now, are:

* AIYOBLOG.COM (Personally, I think it's okay, but I agree with Daniel too that it's a bit dull)
* AIYOYO.COM (I think it's funny, but somehow it just doesnt...'look' right? I like AIYO because it's catchy etc. but also because it's short yet. Powerful. Is that the right word ? Well, you get the idea: AIYO! is a kind of energetic word and I think AIYOYO would detract that)

Any more suggestions, people ^^ ?

I think AIYOBLOG kills the flow of AIYO. Another ending or another name perhaps? BLOG just sounds a bit obvious and dull, it'd be like www.yahoosearchengine.com or www.googlesearchengine.com -_- just not as nice...
